All of us at LA Kings Ice at Pickwick Gardens want to thank the families and children who joined us for our first annual Veteran's Day Camp Chillin!
We started the day at 9am in the gardens playing games and painting pictures and a large Camp Chillin sign... Next we hit the ice for open skate- time! After that we went to lunch in the Riverside room where we ate and watched a Disney movie until all tummies were full. Bowling was are next adventure and setting up 35 campers for bowling was also an adventure for the (camp staff) getting them all into the system with shoes, bowling balls, and in teams etc. The kids ranged from 5 - 13 years of age, and we had some amazing scores from kids who had never bowled before! We took a short break after bowling to color pictures of figure skaters and hockey players and we closed the day back on the ice to skate from 3-4pm.
Thanks again to all the amazing kids who joined us for a fun day at Pickwick's Camp Chillin. We hope to see you on the ice soon or at our next Camp Chillin event, coming this Holiday season...
